My name is Ogbu Jonathan Chukwuka Chinonso. I was born on June 3, 1987, at Isiuja in Amazara Agu Nsukka, by Mr. and Mrs. Theophilus Ogbu and Juliana Ogbu. I am the fourth child of my parents, who had eight children (four boys and four girls). My father is a plant operator at the University of Nigeria Nsukka, while my mother is a housewife. I started primary school in 1997 at Central School Oniyi, Nsukka.
I had my primary 1 and 2 and was transferred to Holy Infant Nursery Primary School Onuiyi to have my primary 3. The Parish Priest in charge of the school, Rev. Fr. Jude Odo, made it a law that any student who had the first position for the first term, second term, and third term would be given a scholarship to study free throughout the school. Luckily for me, I was successful and was given the scholarship throughout my remaining years in the school until I took my first School Leaving Certificate.
After my first school living certificate, I thought that it would mark the end of my studies, not knowing that God still had a plan for me. On one lucky Sunday, I got the information about the scholarship examination by the code Jupe from the Sunday bulletin and applied for it. Luckily, I succeeded in the examination and
interview and was given a scholarship from Josephine Odo’s foundation.
I hope that God will continue to bless Josephine Odo’s family.
Ogbu Jonathan Chukwuka Chinonso.
