My name is Amukwolu George C. I am a native of Ochima in Igbo-Etiti Central Local Government Area. I am fair in complexion and tall. I was born on 1st October 1987. I am 19 years old. I am in JSS II. I am a boy without a father, and I am in the Foundation of Mrs. Odoh Josephine. In the beginning, my mother used to live with my father, but some years ago, my father died.
Before the death of my father, my brother had finished secondary school and was about to enter University when my father died. Then, they stopped preparing to enter the University.
I remember when I was seven years old, and I wasn’t attending school. My mother and I would start searching for oil. At that time, some people usually called us the children of oil peen. My mother only said that the will of God would take place in our family.
In our family, my mother has nine children, seven boys and two girls. I am the seventh child and also the only person who is in Secondary school; others only stop in primary school. When I was in primary school, I used to collect brooms from the bush.
After collecting them, I will go to the market and sell them. After selling them, I will use the money to buy my school uniform. My younger brothers and sisters have not even started their primary school because of money. My mother has started crying because of their lives.
When I won the scholarship, my mother was so happy about it. She said that I would not pass it because our family is not intelligent. But fortunately, I passed it. My mother is thanking you people for the school fees and boarding. You have been a blessing to us.
She said that Almighty Father will bless you front and back because of what you have done for me. She said that she would like to see you people or know your names so that once she wants to pray, she will call your names one by one and pray for you. God Bless you.
Thanks.
Amukwolu George C.
