About Josephine Nwakaego

Josephine Nwakaego Odo, born in 1947 in Eastern Nigeria, was a compassionate and resilient woman. Raised in poverty, she overcame numerous hardships and became a successful entrepreneur.

Known for her deep Catholic faith, she dedicated her life to helping others, inspiring the creation of the Josephine Nwakaego Foundation.

About the Foundation

Founded in 2005, the Josephine Nwakaego Foundation honours the legacy of its namesake by providing support to the underprivileged in Nsukka, Enugu State.

The Foundation offers scholarships, skills training, widows’ welfare, and regular support for orphanages, embodying its mission of giving hope to the hopeless through impactful community programmes.
